Geek Insider: Comic Review Roundup

Regular MegaWestgarth readers will remember my promise of many more comic book reviews turning up on Geek Insider after Free Comic Book Day 2013. The few weeks following the exciting comic book event were very busy indeed and I've managed to have reviews published on Marvel's Infinity, Sonic and Mega Man: Worlds Collide Prelude, and much more more. Here's what I've been up to on Geek Insider since then.

Avengers #11

Captain Marvel's team of Avengers head over to a Hong Kong casino in order to intercept the sale of a Genesis Bomb-derived A.I.M. bioweapon. The undercover super heroes dress in their finest evening attire in order to infiltrate A.I.M. ranks and find out the nature of the deadly weapon, only to find more questions regarding the villainous rendezvous. Check out my review of Avengers #11 here.

Superman Special Edition

Or to be more precise, Superman: Last Son of Krypton Special Edition #1. Despite DC advertising their Free Comic Book Day 2013 offering as a big preview of their upcoming Superman Unchained story arc, the vast majority of the book actually contained the first issue of 2006's Action Comics: Last Son.Why did DC decide to feature such an old, non-New 52 comic? And was it actually any good? Find out in my review of Superman Special Edition.

Wolverine MAX #7

Was writer Jason Starr able to turn the lacklustre Wolverine MAX story around and give us a comic book worthy of the MAX Comics name? The answer is no. Wolverine MAX #7 is a load of rubbish. Find out why in my Geek Insider review.

As always, there's more comic book and video game related content written by yours truly over at Geek Insider. Be sure to check out my other works at GamerTell and Sega Addicts, and follow me on Twitter @MegaWestgarth to stay updated. Thanks for reading!
