Geek Insider: Second Hand Games - What’s The Big Deal?

Microsoft and the Xbox One. Oh dear.

Will it require an internet connection or won't it? Can it play second hand games or can't it? Will there be a fee regardless or not? Why does anyone even care?

I've always found the last question to be the most important when discussing any entertainment device that deals with physical media but does not allow the use of second hand copies of said media. Most people don't want anything to do with a console that doesn't allow them to borrow or play used games. Surprisingly, some people have defended Microsoft's alleged choice to implement such technologies in the Xbox One. But how many have actually sat down and thought about where their money goes when they buy a brand new videogame at retail?

I have. I wrote an article about it for Geek Insider titled "Xbox One and Second Hand Games: What’s The Big Deal?". Have a read and let me know what you think.
