TSSZ: Vertical Slice - Anything But Shadow

The latest in my Vertical Slice column for TSSZ is here, and this time I talk about everyone's favourite recolour, Shadow the Hedgehog. Check out the article "Anything But Shadow" through this link, and read a wee excerpt below.

This isn’t surprising considering Shadow’s two dimensional personality had already stagnated by the end of Sonic Adventure 2. As mentioned above, this one trick pony of “edgy/ brooding/ mysterious/ misunderstood” was never intended to appear in another Sonic game, let alone be developed upon.

Yet it’s these personality traits – found frequently in numerous works aimed at young adults – that have resonated with Sonic’s increasingly hormonal fanbase.
